Cannabinoid Receptors

Did you know that YOU have an Endocannabinoid System?
Throughout the Endocannabinoid System, there are things called cannabinoid receptors. Researchers have identified 2 cannabinoid receptors:
*CB1 - predominantly present in the nervous system, connective tissues, glands, and organs
*CB2 - predominantly found in the immune system and its associated structures.

Many tissues contain CB1 and CB2 receptors, each linked to a different action.

Endocannabinoids are the substances that our bodies naturally make to stimulate these receptors. Phytocannabinoids such as CBD, CBN, and THC are plant substances that stimulate cannabinoid receptors. When CBD attaches to one of our cannabinoid receptors it stimulates a positive function, and a functional cannabinoid system is essential for good health.

This is how CBD and the cannabis plant jive naturally with the human body; this is the science behind how and why CBD can create health benefits to our minds and our bodies.
