Time for Treats

As the eerie chill of October creeps in and shadows grow longer, the thrilling treats and surprises this season brings are sure to enchant us once again. October is notorious for its treats, whether it be the golden yellows and burnt oranges that decorate the trees’ branches, the hot sparks from a bonfire that dance in the autumn air, or the jam-packed jack-o-lantern of candy bars gathered during a moonlit stroll in your favorite costume.

One of our favorite treats any time of year is joining a wellness journey with someone new along with nurturing the ones we’ve developed along the way. Making a positive impact in the lives of both humans and pets with our all-natural CBD wellness products is why we exist. Your stories intertwine with ours to help define Cedar Valley Farms. This month, we are celebrating boss’s day, so we’re honoring CVF’s two amazing bosses and reflecting on their own personal inspiration for starting Cedar Valley Farms. Take a look!

Kristin’s inspiration for improving people’s lives began from enhancing their beauty from the outside as a hair stylist. However, not long into this career, she realized their needs involved so much more than outer beauty enhancements. Clients constantly revealed personal stories of struggle with desperate needs for solutions to both physical and mental problems. This, combined with her passion to help others ignited the fire to develop a natural and versatile remedy that would improve their overall wellbeing and accentuate their beauty not only from the outside, but the inside too.

In combination with Boss’s Day, we also celebrate our COO, Josh Cutter, for National Farmer’s Day. Identifying Josh’s inspiration for Cedar Valley Farms traces back through the deep history of farming within the Cutter Family. They have been a family of farmers and business owners established in northeast Ohio since the early 1800's. In fact, a land grant was first given to one of the early Cutter ancestors in 1812, and that farmland still exists in the family today and remains one of the few bicentennial farms in Ohio. Farming has been a Cutter way of life for over 200 years ranging from grain crops to dairy cows to beef cattle.

When the legalization of hemp in Ohio was established in 2018, this sparked an interest in adding this new crop to their agricultural repertoire after learning about the countless health benefits and healing that this all-natural plant could provide. Josh mixes his experiences of farming with his father to current research and development and functions as the head cultivator at Cedar Valley Farms. He works to deliver premium services and products while keeping the focus on the people and personal experiences. In addition to COO at CVF, Josh continues to head the other Cutter companies while farming 500 acres of family farmland consisting of grain and beef.
